First order ODEs

In this chapter, we discuss certain types of first order linear and nonlinear ODEs whose specific form allow us to develop a method or algorithm to arrive at a general solution. As alluded to previously, most nonlinear ODEs have no closed form solution; we will see this to be especially true when we move on to second order ODEs. However, there are some special forms for first order ODEs for which we can arrive at an exact solution.
